I would like to state that Houston is the most diverse city I have ever lived in. You can find almost any type of food which makes is such a great food destination. So, if you are looking for new restaurants to try in Houston, no need to worry, I have tried a couple of Houston restaurants and I would like to give you a mini tour of the delicious world in Houston.
In this blog, I will highlight some of my top locations for Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch and Dinner.
Breakfast
Though I love breakfast, I rarely eat early in the morning. However, if you are up and about and looking for a good breakfast plate, I recommend First Watch. They have a wide variety of locations all over Houston. One thing I love about First Watch is that you can taste the freshness in every bite. They have your traditional egg, meat and toast as well as the pancakes and other healthy options.
Brunch
If you follow my food page, Where Food Lovers Go, you will know that brunch is my all-time favorite meal. I absolutely love a good brunch! My favorite place to brunch is Taste Bar located in Downtown area.
On the weekends, the wait can be anywhere between 2-4hours. I recommend coming here around 11:30am to get the best experience. If you are a chicken and waffles fan, you will love the food options here because they offer gourmet chicken and waffle with so many different flavors. The prices here are a bit high in my opinion. However, the food is really good, and I don’t mind paying the price for the experience.
Lunch
My favorite lunch is Chinese food. I love Chinese food because it is versatile and a great pick me up for a tough workday. My favorite Chinese restaurant is Spicy Girl which is located in Midtown.
Most of the dishes served in this restaurant is shareable. This makes it the perfect location to have lunch with friends who are willing to try multiple dishes. I love the Peking Duck and Hawaiian Fried Rice. Another Dish I love is the Amazing Fish and Walnut Shrimp. I would highly recommend those dishes. The prices are pretty reasonable. If you’re ordering one dish, you should expect to spend about $12. This place offers great food with affordable prices.
Dinner
When I think about dinner, I love a nice three-course meal with a lovely ambience. I like candlelight dinners and fancy bottles of wine. Steak 48 is my top choice for dinner. This lovely restaurant is located in River Oaks area off Westheimer Road.
They serve a good variety of steak as well as seafood options. One of my favorite items from their menu is the crème brulee corn and the whipped mashed potatoes. I also love the lobster Mac and cheese as well. The price per person can range anywhere between $50-$100 depending on what item you order.
I hope you enjoy these options I provided for you. Let me know your favorite places to eat in Houston, Texas.
