How to Enter 2022 With A Bang

We are fast approaching 2022. As such, there is a need to start reflecting on the past year. The weather changes can make you feel unmotivated and tired but, I hope that you push through and finish the year strong.

I have found that using the last month of the year wisely can transform how I end the year and especially how I begin the new year. As we come to a close during this holiday period, I wanted to share a few things you should do to finish the year in style.

1. Review The Goals You Had Set For The Year: Were you able to achieve your goals? If not, what were some stumbling blocks you faced and how can you overcome these next year? Reflecting in the last month gives you an opportunity to analyze your behavior and habits. It gives you the opportunity to face your reality in an objective manner.

2. Figure Out The Goals That Can Still Be Achieved Before The Year Runs Out: As humans, we are predestined for shortcomings. Give yourself grace to know that you can only do your best. When you review your goals, you may find one or two things that you can still achieve before the end of the year. Write down a game plan on how you can achieve those things. Trust me, you will feel a lot better knowing that you finished the year out on a positive note.

3. Apologize to Those You Wronged: Apologizing can be hard but there is no need to take grudges into the new year especially if you are the cause of the issue. Being a responsible Christian is knowing how to apologize and giving yourself grace for not being perfect.

4. Try To Finish The Cleaning That You Have Been Putting Off Since Spring: You may have said that you were going to finally clean your garage, or your room or whatever corner of your home that you know needs cleaning. Make it a priority to finally do what you said you were going to do.

5. Write Down Great Things That Happened This Year: I am sure you have at least one great thing that happened this year. Take the time to write that down and celebrate your progress. If you don’t have anything to write down, the fact that you are alive today to see the last month of 2021 is a blessing of its own.

6. Make A Vision Board Or Write Down 2022 Goals: It is a great strategy to make your plans for the next year prior to the year ending. This gives you enough time to think clearly and plan for where you see yourself prior to the new year.

These are things that I am currently working on completing. My favorite task is planning for the next year. The bible highlights the importance of writing goals and I have seen the positive results of making solid goals and writing them down. I hope you use the last few weeks of this year wisely!
