Day 1: Mixed Feelings Monday with Nkem Osuagwu

Ready to conquer the week through Christ’s strength, wishing I could get more sleep. Straight to the makeup:

  1. Primer is a must!
  2.  Foundation – MaryKay 507, I save the higher end products for gehn gehn occasions.
  3. Powder – I applied a thin layer of powder with a fluffy powder brush. I am somewhere in between Milani Medium 108 and warm 109 so I use them both.
  4. Brows – Nicely trimmed brows make the task easier. If you have naturally perfect brows, you are blessed. I have to fill my brows in to get them looking decent and it all starts with a good pencil or brow filler. A good sharp pencil isn’t oily and draws a dry thin precise line on the skin. Clean the bottom up with a concealer a shade or two shades lighter than your shade with a highlighting or precision brush. I used Jordana Dark brown pencil, Zaron brow filler, and LA girl pro conceal in Fawn.
  5. I primed my lids with Tara eyeshadow primer then applied a light bronzy/gold shade on the inner corner with my finger, next I applied a matte dark brown shadow to the outer edge making sure the second colours overlapped in the middle to give seamless blend. Finally, with a blending brush, I blended the end of the eyeshadow upwards towards the brow but not too high.
  6. Liner- People tend to struggle with this bit but use what you are comfy with; a pencil, gel liner, liquid liner or a marker just aim at getting a thin clean line. I lined my lid with Black Radiance liquid liner starting at the end of my eye creating a small wing then slowly drawing inwards. Just for some extra oomph, I lined my waterline (inner eye) with my favourite (and only 🙂 ) green eyeliner pencil. I used Zaron mascara on my top and bottom lashes.
  7. I applied a second thin layer of powder to set my face further.
  8. Lips – I had lip balm on my lips from the start then wiped it off and lined my lips with a sharpened soft brown lip liner. I applied Mac lipstick on my lips and a clear gloss and…TADA!

Although this write-up is lengthy, the entire process took 14 MINUTES to achieve(Hair not included, that one is another work).

Thanks for reading my epistle, like, tag a friend or 5, try it out, ask questions and stay tuned for Tuesday’s look.💋
