A short film, Mi and Mozi by Xhori Construct is set to premiere in Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) on November 15th by 12noon. The short film, Mi and Mozi, produced and directed by Century Favour Ebere is an intriguing story of a young boy, Mi (12 years), who developed a strong friendship with Mozi, but is on the verge of losing his new best friend and unearthly guardian.
This short film experiments with the use of visual effects and 3D animation to tell a captivating story of the bond of friendship and how time spent with loved ones enable us to do the impossible. This short film gives room for Nigerian filmmakers to pursue the opportunities available to tell their stories through the use of visual effects and 3D animation.
Century Favour Ebere, producer and director of Mi and Mozi is a graduate of New York Film Academy, California USA, an alumnus of Delyork Film Academy and AFRIFF Talent Development Training Workshop. He is also a Visual Effect professional with over 6 years of experience in Computer Generated Imagery technology and techniques. He is very passionate about Visual/Special Effects and Animation. He is interested in how they can be used to tell African stories in a compelling manner. He hopes to inspire other filmmakers through this bold step.
