Inspiration Thursdays: Tim Tebow, Quarterback Footballer – setting an example in purity and living a life of purpose
Tim Tebow is today’s Inspiration Thursdays personality. He was selected not just because he has a successful career or that he professes to be a Christian but because he is a great example of who a Christian should be.
Through his career as a Quarterback Footballer, Tim Tebow has been able to reach millions of people with the love of God while playing on the pitch. He is popularly known for writing bible verses on his black eye before the NCAA football season banned messages on eye paint. This rule was tagged “Tebow rule” because it was known to affect majorly Tebow. Although, NCAA denied that the rule had anything to do with Tim Tebow.
In 2009, Tim wrote John 3:16 on his black eye which generated over 90 million searches via Google within 24 hours. He also inscribed Proverbs 3:5-6 which generated 3.43 million searches of the scripture along with his name.
Tim Tebow says he was taught by his parents to give right from a tender age which prompted him to establish his foundation – Tim Tebow Foundation.
Tim Tebow also shocked celebrities with his vow to remain a virgin until marriage. He has been met with great ridicule but has refused to back down from his vow.
