I am a Christian, A life-long learner, Customer Relationship Manager,…
Hello Jaffa,
If you missed the last post on dos and don’ts of a healthy hair check it out here. Ok! Back to the matter, I love weekends (that’s not the matter) but we all do hehe. So what are you doing this weekend? Yan me for comment box 🙂 .
It’s question and answer time! And the winner gets… A big hug 🙂 .
What are your hair care routines? What are the steps you take to ensure your hair is charming, head-turning and most importantly healthy? What do you do daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and yearly? What do you do to fuel your mane love?
If you don’t have answers to any/all of these questions then you are definitely on the right page.
Healthy hair care is not happenstance; you can’t go abrakatabra vaavoovaaa Oh I have healthy hair. Nah, babe, it doesn’t go that way, wake up. You need a plan; you need a hair care regimen. A hair care regimen is a structured routine in which you perform basic and specialized hair care practices. It’s what you do daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly to keep thy mane healthy.
Before you build a hair care regimen you need to put some things into consideration.
-
Know Your hair type
This should be the first thing you put into consideration before building a hair regimen. Being clueless about your hair type might make do things wrongly. Different hair types require different methods of care
-
Know the Current Condition of your hair
This is the MOST important step in building your regimen. The current condition of your hair tells you exactly what your hair needs, it will also help you see things that you do that affects the health of your mane. For example, if your hair is “breaking” you need to point out your hair practices that caused it and stop them immediately! And find remedy to the make a comeback
-
Your lifestyle and Personal schedule
Yay! About this one, you have to build a regimen that will suit your lifestyle and schedule. You to have fun with mehn! So you have to build a regimen that works well for YOU, what works for Dara might not work for Rukwve and what works well for Amina and Funmi might not go down well with Amaka.
In building a hair care regimen you will need to do some tunbo tunbo hehe a bit of trial and error. You have to take it a step at a time make you no go do temple run jam wall my hand no dey especially when it comes to finding the right product and practices for your specific hair care needs. Patience is key.
Guess what?!, you don’t need to worry much about how to start, let’s start simple; straight to the basics.
