When You Find Yourself in Cross Roads

Decision making is very important in life, why? Because decisions have ripple effects, it basically doesn’t affect the situation alone but some areas of your life. A very classical example is in the area of marriage, after making the decision of whom to marry, it affects your finances, your emotional life, your spiritual life and other areas of your life either positively or negatively. You may say that’s just marriage. There are also other decisions you make now that affects the aforementioned area. Thanks be to God who makes all things work together for our good “even those wrong decisions we have made” Today I asked the Lord silently about a decision I had to make, and as usual, a funny response came “…Wisdom is profitable to direct(Ecc 10; 10)” and this triggered another scripture in my heart Proverbs 4; 7

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Many decisions to be taken lie in wisdom and understanding. Proverbs 3: 19

The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

Now the question is, how I get wisdom? 1.

1. Ask: Jam 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Ask and it shall be given unto you (Matthew 7:7) 2.

2. The Holy Spirit: Job 32:8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. 3.

3. Study the word: 2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy Scripture, which is able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

4. Humility: Pro 11:2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. Anytime Jesus was in the temple speaking to the Pharisees and Sadducees they were always astonished at his wisdom and his understanding of the Word. He is our perfect example of the wisdom of God.
